Description

Business Manager will identify needs and drive the development, implementation, and adoption for new and existing application modernization and cloud adoption capabilities and services. Use agile methods to analyze, define and document requirements and work with stakeholders and product teams to drive consensus on scope, design and implementation decisions. Provide agile coaching to product teams and facilitate agile ceremonies. Partner with customer offices in leading, directing, and reviewing all activities associated with delivering technology products. Also be responsible for product quality, project timeliness, and customer satisfaction. The manager will work and collaborate with stakeholders to document business goals and objectives, prepare requirement specifications, and participate in development processes. The Business Manager will lead meetings, review process boards, and ensure projects are meeting requirements and schedules.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with business owners to define and document requirements for application modernization efforts, as well as write user stories, acceptance criteria, feature description decks, user guides, process flows and wireframes.
  • Conduct Design Thinking sessions to gain insights into end user and customer needs.
  • Lead the product backlog for a product by facilitating visioning sessions, assist in defining and prioritizing features and by maintaining product backlogs
  • Formulating and defining systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of the business systems and industry requirements
  • Drives co-development of application and cloud adoption services that drive standardization, lower cost, increase velocity, and lower security risks.
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form desired results
  • Performs analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper requirements specifications
  • Planning and managing the realization of benefits through the integration of new capabilities within business practices
  • Defines the benefits that will realize the strategic objectives of the program
  • Defining and tracking key performance indicators for benefit realization
  • Preparing affected business areas for transitions to new way of working; potentially implementing new business processes.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Note that years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust
  • Five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following business process management activities:
  • Reviewing existing IT programs and assisting in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving techniques
  • Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine approach within time and cost constraints
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Analyst, Engineers, and others to design systems and obtain project limitations and capabilities
  • Estimate costs and schedules
  • Prepare reports and corresponding documentation concerning specifications and activities
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in business management software
  • Relevant Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification
  • Experience with team management tools such as Jira or Confluence (desired)

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
