Business Development Representative
The Role
A Business Development Representative (BDR) at Fusion is a high-energy, driven professional with strong business acumen, strong technical aptitude, and a desire for a fast-track career in sales. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic, enthusiastic, and strategic sales team, and you will be responsible for seeking new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers, in order to boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth. Specifically, you will:
- Create and prioritize strategic account and contact lists within our CRM (Salesforce).
- Contact potential customers through cold calls, social media, and emails, exceeding an established weekly activity minimum.
- Present Fusion to potential customers, identifying their needs and coordinating a call/meeting with the appropriate Account Executive.
- Stay current with Fusion's evolving suite of products and services, by certifying on the Fusion Framework System to be able to have conversations with potential customers regarding how they can make their program more successful.
- Achieve quarterly quotas of qualified opportunity pipeline (number of opportunities and total pipeline value) and closed business.
- Creating opportunities, as well as recording all interactions with prospects and customers within the CRM.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent international education; or, experience in lieu of degree
- 1-4 years' prior experience in a sales capacity (software, SaaS, and/or B2B sales preferred)
- Experience using a CRM, preferably Salesforce.com
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques, including cold calls
- Track record of having achieved sales quotas
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, including oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal
- Ability to close for a next step
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Motivation, drive, and a high energy, positive, self-starting attitude, with a desire for continuous learning
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment
