About the Business Development Representative:
The Business Development Representative will play a crucial role on the demand-generation team, helping to scale our efforts and manage the follow-up process with inbound and outbound prospecting. Reporting to the Sr. Business Development Manager, you will use your sales development and prospecting skills to create qualified opportunities for our global sales team.

Location: Remote

What will you do?

  • 1. Inbound - Manage inbound leads including inbound e-mails, phone calls, and leads from other MarketStar sources. Disposition and follow-up on all inbound leads within a specific time period and provide updates of activities once in HubSpot CRM.
  • 2. Outbound - Proactively prospect for new leads, qualify them, and schedule discovery appointments. Convert qualified opportunities and pass them on to our Business Development Team. Provide outbound support of all marketing events, campaigns and shows. Work to support both the acquisition of net-new brands and the development of existing clients in your region. Leverage intent data to build your personal pipeline of strategic ABM prospects.
  • 3. Events: Virtual and F2F Business Development - create awareness campaigns of upcoming events for prospects and clients. Schedule appointments for BD Management in advance of in-person events and tradeshows. Follow up with appointments and attempt to reschedule. Coordinate post show outreach sequences and follow-up with both attendees and non-attendees.
  • 4. Virtual Event-Focused Business Development - Fill events for BD, both Hunters and Farmers. Follow-up after the event and schedule appointments with BD. Continue to nurture the leads using HubSpot sequences.



Skills & Qualifications

Seeking action-oriented, relationship-focused go-getters with prospecting and hunting capabilities. Ambition wins out over education and experience. You are a self-starter who is goal-oriented, ready to take on a new territory with a fast-moving lead development team. HubSpot or CRM experience a plus. Great communication skills, both on the phone and in written form will help you succeed in this role.
