As Business Development Representative II, you will support deal development and development of sophisticated economic analysis of commercial opportunities. You will also collaborate to build new contracts and solutions that benefit Williams and our customers. The ability to cultivate and nurture a network across functions, apply expertise in ways that are unique or innovative and influence others to gain support and dedication are keys to success!

The Williams New Energy Ventures team is a business development team commitment to delivering solutions and projects to achieve our climate commitments while also building new business. We will prioritize our focus and investment based on these principles:

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Conducts market and customer analysis to identify potential business opportunities; analyzes and validates by generating new leads and prospects
  • Develops opinions and recommendations on basin, customer and competitor intelligence applying third party tools and publications
  • Anticipates and meets customer needs, assesses requirements, and identifies responses to unique requests
  • Considers industry and market trends when making decisions, and identifies efforts that will have the greatest impact on our company
  • Balances strategic concerns with day-to-day activities
  • Develops strong and enduring customer relationships
  • Other duties as assigned


Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field and minimum of two (2) years' related experience
  • Preferred: MBA and minimum five (5) years' related experience


Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of energy transition space
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of commercial aspects of the energy industry
  • Knowledge of energy market fundamentals and economics including commodity pricing, basin market fundamentals and competitor strategies and actions
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred: Previous experience in the energy industry
