Business Development Manager

We’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join our growing strategic partnerships team to identify, develop and onboard new partners. You’ll be driving the company’s go-to-market efforts and beyond to provide Cana consumers with variety and validation from tastemakers, digital influencers, notable brands, and licensable IP. You’ll utilize your relationships in the partnerships space, specifically with beverage brands and influencers, as a key contributor to Cana’s long-term, sustained platform growth.

About the role:

This role will include performance management through KPIs established together across the strategic partnerships team and will serve as a point-person for the brands and/or talent onboarded to the platform with general business development initiatives. This person will also drive the partnership development process cross-functionally with other teams including beverage science and beverage brand and U/X design. The ideal candidate will have experience negotiating and managing licensing deals between the consumer products space and entertainment sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new partner relationships through robust and established network of contacts 
  • Help define partnership strategy with considerations across consumer insights and trends, engagement, and Cana’s consumer demographic targets
  • Shepherd the new partner development process liaising between science and design to bring partner brands to life (brand narrative, imagery, design) 
  • Develop insights to support partnership identification and consumer segmentation
  • Support Cana’s GTM marketing strategies and manage and track KPIs
  • Create an ecosystem of strategic partners robust enough to meet all identified business needs and resilient enough to address future business requirements with brand affinity in mind 

About You:

  • 4-7+ years professional experience in strategic partnerships, talent or brand agency representation, business strategy or innovation manager role
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting and collaborating with cross-functional partners
  • Proficient in Google Workspace
  • Thrives in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Prior CPG, beverage or entertainment industry experience is a huge plus!
