Business Development Manager

Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for nurturing and scaling the business (sales development function) at Paper. This team is growing fast; this is a critical role in enabling the business to achieve continued growth.
This position can be located in any geography in the US or Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Track and be accountable for overall team productivity and team quota.
- Work in tandem with the regional sales managers to develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of interested prospects.
- Recruit, onboard, and build a team of top-performing sales development reps.
- Coach, support, and train your team in sales methodologies to improve qualification processes.
- Work with your team to identify new opportunities and develop targeted sales pitches.
- Inspire, lead and create a positive and high-performance culture and sales environment.
- Own your team's metrics & performance, ensuring accurate data is recorded on Salesforce and report upwards as appropriate.
- Review SalesLoft calls, cadences, and emails to ensure that your team is on track and then provide coaching from there.
Qualifications:
The successful BDR Manager will naturally have a proven aptitude for sales and high-performance cultures.
- 1+ years sales experience and experience leading or managing a team.
- You are a top performer and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- You are an advocate for numbers and metrics in managing a sales team and can intelligently identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to inspire trust and confidence to coach and develop your team.
- Have the ability to have high-level conversion regarding metrics and team performance with other sales leaders.
- Passionate about delivering excellence and excited by the challenge of working for a business with ambitious growth targets.
