Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience developing and growing strategic partnerships within mobile or a related industry



Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with partners in mobile apps, ad technology, analytics, or other internet-related industries
  • Experience with mobile apps, ads, measurement, and security, and understanding of what drives success in the SDK space
  • Understanding of apps ecosystem, business models, distribution channels, competitive landscape, and developer success metrics
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and externally
  • Ability to solve complex problems and develop creative solutions with attention to details and execution in a sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with executives and partner companies



About the job

You will be part of the Google Play Business Development and Partnership team, focused on helping strategic partners build successful businesses using the Android platform and Google Play. You will work across different groups within Google to support developers on both business and technical opportunities, expand into new technologies and markets, and more importantly, help partners build great apps and reach their audiences. At Google, we set goals just beyond reach. In this role, you will help developers do the same.

You will focus on working with Software Development Kits (SDK) providers to ensure that Google and Android are partnering with these important ecosystem contributors. You will cultivate new and existing partnerships to make sure SDK developers are taking full advantage of Google's ever-growing suite of offerings, fully understand and comply with policies and best practices and are creating great, safe products for the entire app developer community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Google Play Business Development strategy for SDK providers
  • Be the Google Play point of contact and subject-matter expert for SDK providers, and help these partners optimize for success on Google Play through policy compliance, product innovation, and developer transparency
  • Maintain an understanding of the mobile SDK landscape at all times, recognizing trends, identifying promising startups, and sharing learnings, best practices, and industry trends with Google Play Business Development Managers, Product, Engineering and Executive teams
  • Advocate for your partners in Google Play Product, Policy and Engineering teams
  • Meet regularly with top strategic partners to share roadmaps, gather feedback and address concerns from both internal and external stakeholders
