Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in sales or marketing at an agency, technology, or media company
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time



Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with effective questioning, managing objections, and sales
  • Experience managing a sales portfolio in business development, customer services/relationships, and solution-based sales
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a variety of internal and external partners simultaneously
  • Ability to think strategically about challenges and develop recommendations/action plans
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders through thought-leadership
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

The Traditional Media Agency (TMA) team, a subset of Google Customer Solutions, is responsible for driving incremental business growth via our full-service, creative, and media agency partners.

As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on growing long-term relationships with our managed traditional media agencies and drive business growth through agency-managed accounts with brand and performance opportunity.

In collaboration, we create and implement business plans broadly for all types of businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on goals while prioritizing and delivering an outstanding experience to Google's managed agency partners.
  • Collaborate and consult with agencies with the goal of extending relationships, increasing the customer and agency base, and optimizing their advertising.
  • Own and grow agency relationships from executive-level down to specific account teams, including media planners and buyers.
  • Analyze data trends and customer performance.
  • Develop strategic plans and prepare/conduct strategic presentations.
