Business Development Lead
The Opportunity
As a member of the Health & Worksite team you will be responsible for exploring and developing relationships that will lead to additional opportunities for the disability income line of business. The Impact:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional who can deliver business value by owning and participating in projects and initiatives relevant to the product line that will lead to the advancement and expansion of the business.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Manage on going processes and programs critical to the success and sustainability of the business
Work independently and with management to resolve key issues, identify desirable relationships and participate in the negotiation toward beneficial conclusions
Lead diverse business teams to assess and deliver relationships that will impact the financial results of the business within budget and time constraints
Resolve critical decisions during the project timeline
Critical assessment of business relationships that would most benefit the overall line of business
Drive continuous improvements and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility
The Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of financial products/experience in the financial services industry
Minimum of 5+ years business/product development and/ or sales experience
Ability to handle complex short & long term focused projects involving multiple business units
Ability to identify opportunities for business growth, develop strategic initiatives and drive to achieve desired results
Strong partnership and relationship management skills with ability to analyze and prioritize leads
Excellent communication skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows based applications
**Must be able to work in our Springfield, MA office at least 3 days per week
