If you love working in the advisory industry but want to move out of delivery and into the sales side but don’t have the support at your current company to make that transition, Riveron has a Business Development mentorship program that could be an ideal fit for you. In this role, you will contribute to Riveron’s business development engine by pursuing or leading engagements among several assigned targets, accounts, and channels.


Who will love this job:

The chance to grow into a seasoned business developer and support Riveron’s sales strategy. Key objectives will be revenue generation and enabling sales and operating efficiencies.

What you’ll do:

  • Originate new business through assigned targets or market relationships
  • Strengthen existing client relationships through market activities
  • Perform key account planning activities such as company and industry research, relationship mapping and identification of internal and external events that create project needs
  • Manage plans for strategic channel partners by assembling Channel Management teams, including BD Managing Directors, Service Line reps, cross-regional reps
  • Coordinate local sales activity with national efforts
  • Own or support proposals in collaboration with the local pursuit teams
  • Support activities throughout the selling process -- qualification, solution development, proposal development, engagement letters, client agreements and project kickoffs
  • Manage key project closeout activities such as reporting quality check, follow-on opportunity management, deal team outreach and client feedback
  • Regularly conduct business reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with services
  • Gain strategic positioning to retain existing revenue and obtain additional business 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience with combination of public accounting, consulting, business development, and/or industry experience
  • Strong network in market, understanding of service offerings, and growth experience
  • Demonstrated aptitude for and interest in relationship development and sales process
  • Demonstrated executive presence
