This sales leader is responsible for growing the sales pipeline by building and leading a team of Commercial Field Executives who successfully deliver on their respective sales goals. The team sells the Adobe Commerce Cloud product (Magento). This leader should be highly experienced leading a field team of sales executives selling a premier and market leading cloud-based offering into the commerce marketplace.
In this role, the executive will work closely with WW Sales Leaders across the company, and know how to navigate the supporting ecosystem including (but not limited to) the marketing business, sales operations, and services business to develop and implement specific strategic plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets throughout across Americas. This role is to be staffed in the southeast region of the US.
What you'll do

  • Cultivate and secure new lines of business within the targeted verticals, focusing on the Adobe Commerce Cloud
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, manage and lead a diverse world-class team of sales professionals to achieve yearly sales targets. This includes closing new business and expanding upon existing clientele. Collaborate across the business to develop the GTM, from the sale of software to services and delivery.
  • Sell into multiple levels of an organization, open doors and empower the field team
  • Manage long, consultative sales process
  • Manage region's high value client renewals and negotiations
  • Develop effective sales strategies and deliver compelling product demonstrations, use cases and sales pitches. Identify and develop sales enablement opportunities as needed within the field sales team as a whole.
  • Cultivate and grow relationships with industry leaders that will lead to sales opportunities and new business.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of the marketplace, industry trends, funding developments and products to all management activities and strategic sales decisions.
  • Ensure that Sales department operations function smoothly, with the goal of facilitating executed sales and/or closings; operational responsibilities include accurate pipeline reporting and quarterly sales forecasts.


What you need to succeed

  • 5-10 years of successful software sales leadership experience within the enterprise commerce market as measured by sales performance against goals, as well as demonstrated ability to manage a complex sales cycle.
  • 10+ years overall experience in software selling required. A hybrid of experience selling software and services is also ideal.
  • Experience selling to the CIO and CDO highly valued and understanding the needs of the commerce team will be critical to success.
  • Knowledge of large, complex sales models highly desired, as well as prior experience selling emerging technologies.
  • Strong presentation skills, executive presence and influencing skills critical.
  • Highly motivated, as well as able to create and develop a highly-motivated, success oriented sales team.
  • BA/BS degree required; Master's degree preferred.
