Associate Sales Representative (Dallas, TX)
The Trauma Associate Sales Representative is an Entry Level Sales Position responsible for shadowing and supporting a sales team of Sr. Reps. within an assigned territory with installations, trouble-shooting and maintenance as well as demo inventory setup and customer in-service, transporting customer inventory between accounts and eventually covering cases for sales reps within certain accounts.
This is an On-call role requiring you to work early mornings and/or late nights.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to assist and train hospital personnel in the proper use and care of products and equipment
- Ability to learn and maintain a high level of technical information as it relates to surgery and procedures.
- Receives and maintains structured product /sales training assessments to transition into an assigned Sales Rep role territory once trained, applicable to the ASR/ASR I pathway to becoming a Sales Rep.
- Gains and maintains an acceptable level of knowledge of the Orthopedic product line along with business objectives, pricing strategies, and proven sales techniques for Orthopedic products.
- Supports the district sales targets by supporting existing accounts as well as developing and executing a plan to develop new business opportunities.
- Must pass all classroom and on the job training assessments.
- Establishes regular performance evaluations to ensure targeted development of the essential quantitative and qualitative metrics for territory growth (technical / clinical / procedural / relational / financial).
Required skill set:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Sales & Marketing, Science, sports
medicine or Health related field but open to others)
- Minimum 2 years of outside (B2B) Sales experience preferred
- Experience in an Operating Room, as an Emergency Medical Technician or in a related field such as Physical Education or Therapy is a great Plus!
- Must be professional and a team player
- Be flexible and able to switch gears at a moment's notice with ability to prioritize and adapt to rapid and continual change.
- Able to multi-task
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally with surgeons, doctors and other medical professionals.
- Must be self-motivated, resilient with superior work ethic and driven to succeed.
- Must be able to Travel Domestic - Up to 100% within the assigned territory to provide customer and rep support and be on call 24/7 to cover cases.
