A Day in the Life

The Associate Sales Representative will report to a Regional Sales Manager and will support the sales team within an assigned territory with new equipment installations, equipment trouble-shooting and maintenance, demo inventory setup and customer in-service for the GYN TruClear portfolio. Other responsibilities include covering cases for sales representatives as well as delivering equipment/instrument trays within designated accounts. The position requires the ability to assimilate and learn a high level of technical information as it relates to surgery and procedures. It is expected that the Associate Sales Representative will interact with surgical staff at least four full days a week.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the territory sales team to enable more selling time for territory sales representatives:
  • Assist sales team with in-service of equipment at customer sites.
  • Covers cases for Sales Representatives and provides sales support.
  • Install new Gynecology equipment and perform functional/safety tests
  • As necessary, conduct basic operation, care and maintenance training to clinical staff.
  • Coordinate and maintain Gynecology equipment being used within assigned facilities or region.
  • Coordinate new purchases of Gynecology products with the territory sales representatives as needed.
  • Assist operating room staff to service and exchange non-functioning equipment.
  • Assist and train on-site hospital personnel in the proper use and care of Gynecology equipment.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction as a high priority.
  • Provide technical information to surgeons consistent with product user manuals and instructions for use.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Promotes and sells Medtronic's Medical/Scientific Equipment products and services including non-implantable medical or scientific equipment products and/or services (e.g., diagnostic medical equipment, medical imaging machines, medical laboratory equipment, and non-implantable medical devices) within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including hospitals, physicians, and Radiology and Surgical personnel.
  • Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Medical/Scientific Equipment products and/or services.
  • Conducts and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors activities.
  • Develops and/or implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
  • Assesses customer needs and feedback regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products and communicates to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.



Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 0 years of experience required with an introductory knowledge of company products and services



Nice to Have

  • 1-3 years of previous field sales experience in business to business or pharmaceutical sales experience with documented success, highly preferred.
  • Experience in women's healthcare/surgical devices preferred
