Associate Sales Engineer - Dallas, TX preferred
We are looking for an Associate Sales Engineer with 0-3+ years experience to help our technical sales efforts in the Western United States. You will drive business value for prospects by showing them how ThoughtSpot’s products and services can assist in achieving strategic business goals.
This position on the ThoughtSpot Sales Engineering team will help build your career as a client facing presales consultant in the Commercial market, supporting our prospects and Free Trial users. The successful candidate will gain an understanding of how our technology can solve business issues, possess a consultative sales approach and value the importance of teamwork, while having the ability to work independently in a rapidly growing and changing environment.
What you’ll do:
- Work with trial users to get them up and running on ThoughtSpot.
- Assist in product evaluations with customers by working with them to analyze their own data
- Together with sales account teams, understand customers’ analytic goals and challenges and help them use ThoughtSpot to address these challenges
- Confidently present/demonstrate the business value of the ThoughtSpot platform to all levels
- Understand the competitive landscape and ThoughSpot’s differentiators
- Work as a team player by continually learning and sharing new knowledge
- Capture and communicate customer requirements to share with ThoughSpot product management teams
- Lead Hands-On Test Drive sessions with multiple ThoughtSpot users
- Be self-motivated, flexible and take initiative
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with Customer champions and ThoughtSpot Sales Teams such that all activities are aligned with achieving customer and ThoughtSpot success.
What you bring:
- 0 - 3 years experience in the business world, BA/BS degree
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Superior presentation and demonstration skills for both technical and business audiences
- Be curious about how systems work and interested in finding creative solutions to tough business challenges
- Ability to work with teams both remotely and in person
- Be passionate about technology and in particular AI, BI, Search and Cloud technologies.
- The ability to work independently in an environment that changes rapidly
- Ambitious and self-motivated with a high degree of sales and technical curiosity
- Highly coachable with a strong desire to improve and grow.
- Strong initiative and positive attitude
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- An understanding of or experience with at least a few of the following: Business Intelligence tools, Cloud Data Warehouses, Search/AI tools, SQL, JavaScript, Python, data modeling, schema design, data warehousing, change management, visualization and dashboarding best practices, cloud computing
- Able to travel as needed
