Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of sales experience in advertising and/or digital media.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or developing a sales team.
  • Experience partnering with or working in marketing for retail or consumer goods companies.



Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • Experience in digital marketing with platforms, agencies, and partners.
  • Experience in building relationships with and influencing team members and C-level stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work with global teams, and understanding of digital media.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and people management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.



About the job

As an Account Strategist Manager, you'll lead and mentor an account strategist team to use consultative skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. You will also work with the Head of Mid-Market Sales to set strategic objectives and run the daily operations for the business. You will work with your teams to partner directly with customers to deliver the most advanced solutions Google can offer.

Google Customer Solutions sales teams are trusted advisors and competitive sellers who maintain a relentless focus on customer success by bringing the best Google has to offer. You will work as a team with a wide variety of advertisers to deliver the optimal advertising solution for every partner. Your knowledge of digital advertising landscape and online media will shape how the accounts in the program will grow. Engaging with executives on the customer side, you will help the Account Strategists set the strategy for our customers and how they will grow and transform their businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Build, motivate, mentor, and inspire a Mid-Market Sales team to deliver high-impact results.
  • Lead hiring, operations, short, and long-term business planning, training, and mentoring.
  • Strengthen customer relations through modeling, C-level meetings, and industry thought leadership.
  • Identify friction for our business and customers acting as an entrepreneur to own and solve.
  • Work cross-functionally with a stakeholder group to accelerate business growth. Understand the multichannel and consumer goods sector to drive innovation and thought leadership.
