About the Role:

PitchBook Media is seeking an Account Relationship Associate. PitchBook Media offers sponsorship, advertising and branded content opportunities that reach thousands of C-suite executives, managing directors and industry leaders who are driving change within the capital markets. Clients partner with PitchBook to share their firm's expertise or spotlight key insights with an actively growing audience across multiple channels, including The Daily Pitch newsletter, market-leading industry reports like the PitchBook-NVCA Venture Monitor and the PitchBook Website + Podcast.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Onboard and welcome media clients after a new business or renewal sale.
  • Schedule onboarding calls w/key client stakeholders, PitchBook publishing team and PitchBook Sales Rep to discuss campaign, ad specs, calendar of deadlines.
  • Manage all creative ad submissions and implement into internal and ad software
  • Route and obtain approvals on copy, layout, banner ads and various production materials
  • Ensure assets are scheduled (e.g., creative rotation schedules) in internal systems
  • Deliver post publication reporting, and help clarify media reporting questions
  • Focus on campaign success and offer solutions for performance
  • Partner with internal project management to:
    • Develop and communicate project schedules
    • Create and maintain electronic files of key project documents and assets on server
    • Gain experience with project/work management tools (i.e. Smartsheet, Salesforce, Asana)
  • Act as the main point of contact for media client’s deliverable submissions, campaign schedule, questions and post campaign results and feedback.
  • Work closely with Media Sales Representatives during the selling process, campaign updates, client management and assist with upcoming renewal conversations.
  • Work collaboratively with PitchBook Customer Success reps to ensure transparent cross-departmental communication.
  • Focus on campaign management to ensure success of media runs, ensure they are on pace and work to foresee any issues that might arise.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Has at least 1-3 years of successful, professional work experience. Previous experience within the media industry/ ad agency or related field preferred.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize several projects at any given time, maintain focus and keep a positive and collaborative yet confident demeanor and quickly facilitate others involvement when necessary.
  • Eager to learn, achieve, take initiative, and maintain an incredibly high level of detail.
  • Proactive approach, demonstrated through actions such as:
    • Providing regular and thorough project updates to manager and team
    • Anticipates potential problems and obstacles to project success, communicating concerns, and developing solutions
    • Confident supporting recommendations and ideas driven by business context and creative opportunity
    • Identifies ways to improve offerings and team processes
  • Demonstrates strong client service techniques, including documentation of feedback, solicitation of viewpoints, anticipation of questions or challenges.
  • Able to communicate clearly, thoroughly, succinctly and in a timely manner both verbally and in writing; follow up on outstanding issues; ask relevant questions.
  • Has a strong desire and the ability to learn more about the Private Equity, Venture Capital and M&A marketplace and understand how each of our diverse client types gain value from advertising across our different media products.
  • Must be both social and amicable with the innate ability to build relationships with senior level executives.
  • Has the ability to self-manage and a strong sense of pride in their work.
  • Loves being part of a close-knit team that cheers each other on.
  • Experience with Salesforce + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
