Summary:

The Account Manager will serve as a resource to clients by responding to customer service requests of current and potential clientele, maintaining clear communication, proactively assessing potential loan and credit term modification opportunities, preparing finance packages, and ensuring proper documentation is received. This role will also support the sales team by conducting market research and executing the sales process in unassigned territories.

Responsibilities:

  • Field and support all customer service requests for current accounts and those in early stages (
  • Mine existing portfolio for opportunities for additional business including refinancing existing debt (rewrites), additional loans (new money), referrals, and opportunities for accounts nearing end of term; collaborate with sales team to execute process based on type of opportunity in the account.
  • Prepare financing/loan packages for new accounts and refinances in territories not assigned to a Regional Sales Manager.
  • Work interdependently with the Credit Analyst team regarding loan package submissions, answer questions, and/or clarify package details.
  • Work interdependently with Collections team to respond to requests for and assess viability of extensions/revisions to credit terms; monitoring modified accounts per set milestones set forth in revised terms.
  • Conduct sales activities, in collaboration with sales leaders, to establish presence and secure market share in unassigned territories; inclusive of cold calling prospective clients.
  • Assist documentation team in gathering requirements needed for documentation and funding.
  • Follow up with clientele regarding submitted loan packages to resolve any pending details to ensure credit process is fluid, efficient, and clear communication is always maintained with the client.
  • Serve as back up for client contact and processing of loans when Regional Sales Managers are unavailable.
  • Request referrals and leads at each stage of the loan process; inclusive of files not selected for funding.
  • Conduct market research to identify new referral sources.



Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalency, required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial financial services, operations and/or customer service setting in a similar role.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously; comfortable with ambiguity and can effectively set appropriate priorities.
  • High level of attention to detail; accurate and well organized.
  • Strong problem solving and mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated sales acumen.
  • Excellent presentation and/or public speaking skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite including: Word, Excel, Outlook, or comparable software application.
