Does the opportunity to join one of the fastest growing tech companies in Boston excite you? 3Play Media, a leading full-service video accessibility solution, is looking for a full-time Account Manager. As a 3Play Media Account Manager (AM), you will build strong customer relationships and sell into our existing customer base for our video accessibility and engagement solutions.
We are searching for highly motivated candidates with demonstrated success in sales to strategically identify, prospect, qualify, and close business with existing logos. In this role, you will manage relationships with our customers and work closely with Customer Success Managers to ensure accounts are growing and supported.
Candidates should have exceptional communication skills and a strong foundation of sales methodology. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized, with the ability to build rapport with clients. Your ability to strategically grow relationships across an organization will be critical to your success.
This is a quota-carrying position, so comfort operating in this type of role is required.
About You
- A self-starter with a positive attitude and desire to work in a competitive environment
- Experience with maintaining customer relationships and with all parts of the sales cycle, from prospecting to close
- Adept at solving complex problems and building strong relationships
- Solid work ethic, planning, time management, and organizational skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as active listening skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a sales or account management role
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
- Overall customer growth and retention
- Leverage Hubspot, LinkedIn, and other technologies to research, prospect, source, and manage your pipeline and revenue potential
- Establish contact through outbound prospecting, online meetings and in-person visits to prospective customers
- Present and propose 3Play solutions to net new customers
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and acting as a trusted advisor
- Build relationships with clients based on trust and respect
- Collaborate with internal departments for client advocacy
- Keep accurate records pertaining to relationship and account notes
- Stay informed on product applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends
- Develop and deliver clear and effective written proposals for prospective customers
- Identify and remove potential obstacles that may impede future customer investment in 3Play’s products or services, while also ensuring alignment to 3Play policies

We provide premium captioning, transcription, audio description, and translation solutions to over 5,000 higher ed, enterprise, media, and government customers. Our goal is to simplify the workflow through flexible APIs, a secure online account system, and integrations with a multitude of players, platforms, and lecture capture systems. We got our start in 2008 out of MIT Sloan and we are based in Boston, MA.
