Ascension is seeking an Account Manager to join the team in Troy, MI! Remote with 25% Travel
What You Will Do
As the Account Manager, you'll serves as primary contact to assigned clients with the goal of delivering a high level of service, and a positive client and member experience. The Account Manager is responsible for executing detailed, comprehensive, and accurate group implementations, ongoing account servicing, and plan changes. In addition, this individual is expected to process reports, interpret data/analytics in a comprehensive manner and clearly present detailed reporting to clients with an action plan and recommendations that are aligned with ABS' corporate philosophies. The Account Manager must be able to tackle challenging questions which require in-depth review, analysis, evaluation and detailed preparation.
Key Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between the client and all departments within the company
  • Attend sales meetings, renewal meetings, or plan review meetings as needed.
  • Answer any questions regarding policy, procedures, payments made on behalf of the client.
  • Receive and disburse plan changes or renewal selection by the client within the company
  • Proactively identify issues impacting the client and develop strategies for resolution
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure all client deliverables are being met
  • Attend implementation meetings, enrollment meetings, and process new group information as needed
  • Interface and facilitate communications with appropriate leaders within ABS to help problem solve or support new service offerings.
  • Understand and consistently utilize ABS best practices for client implementations and on-going service.
  • Establish a link between ABS capabilities and the customer's business strategy, and identify opportunities to offer clients additional products and services, based on the client's unique needs.
  • Effectively communicate client intentions and expectations to internal team that supports effective delivery of service.
  • Develop a contact matrix and establish strong relationships with key decision makers and project facilitators.
  • Maintain client relationships while responding to all client inquiries, requests and concerns.
  • Initiate monthly and quarterly client and agent status calls, and touch points.
  • Facilitate status calls with clients and other vendor partners (as needed)
  • Compose, comprehend, and present medical/dental/vision plan renewals or quarterly client reviews.
  • Assist with the development of promotional materials.


What You Will Need
Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.


Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience preferred.


Additional Preferences
Additional Work Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of fully-insured, level-funded and ACA products
  • Possess strong analytical skills, out of the box thinking, with a consultative approach.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with Google G Suite products (Slides, Docs, Sheets, Gmail and etc.)
  • Must be able to multitask, work under pressure, and balance competing priorities.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or travel if necessary.
  • Excellent work ethic and energy level.
  • Solid time management abilities.
  • Salesforce or similar CRM proficiency
