We are looking for an Account Manager. The Account Manager is the lead commercial contact and works together with the Application Engineer in Tenneco's Braking group to provide the necessary service to the customer. The business situation and individual skills may dictate the method of meeting these responsibilities, but the end result will always be superior customer service and the advancement of the business. The Account Manager is responsible for performing the necessary job functions needed to fully support customer projects in the OE/OES (original equipment and service) and Light Vehicle markets. The Account Manager is responsible to ensure that the product and sales strategies of the organization are implemented. In addition, the account manager needs to keep the technical staff aware of the commercial implications of decisions. The Account Manager ensures that all commercial, engineering, technical and quality issues are discussed and resolved with the appropriate customer and internal personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and implement the customer business strategy for the OE/OES markets.
- Realize options for further value creation across OE.
- Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of quotations, sample and initial production shipments.
- Plan and deliver the customer 5 year's revenue plan.
- Coordinate and organize visits to plants and technical sites to ensure that the customer(s)' needs and requirements are being met.
- Actively participate in achieving corporate and divisional goals and objectives relative to quality, cost, profit, and return on sales, productivity, customer service, and adherence to budget goals.
- Support benchmark analysis and monitor competitor's development.
- Control/manage strategic price negotiations and customer's conditions.
- Collaboration with the other departments (i.e. engineering, program management, quality, operations, ).
- Assist in the development of the sales plan/forecast, long-term strategic plan, and input competitor information as it becomes available.
- Manage two key stake holders the car manufacturer and the tier 1 supplier in a format wherein business is 50% nominated by the car manufacturers.
- Support a company-wide transformation to change the sales approach into a more business/profit orientated model versus a turnover orientated model.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a complex, international OE organization (>2 years)
- Track record of driving performance with positive outcomes.
- High potential with the ability and desire to develop further within the sales organization.
- Proficient Windows office tools.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or Engineering or Business related disciplines
