The Account Management Team Lead role will support Semrush's strategic sales and customer success goals by leading and inspiring a team of Account Managers to run experiments as we build new Go-To-Market strategies, messages, process and trainings. This is a hybrid role, out of our Dallas, TX office or Philadelphia, PA office.
Tasks in the role

  • Successfully manage and empower our team of Account Managers focused on client retention and expansion
  • Implement strategies and execute action plans for client facing experiments for the retention department
  • Participate in the development of processes, messaging, training, KPIs and other measures of success within any new experiment
  • Develop and mentor individuals on the team to ensure full understanding and knowledge regarding the digital marketing industry, SEMrush product services and tools, and proper approach and methods to ensure goals and targets are met
  • Provide a high level of guidance, coaching and feedback in all areas within the experiment such as creating and executing outreach strategies, increasing and maintaining customer engagement, and managing difficult situations and conversations
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with individuals to offer real-time feedback and support and discuss professional development goals. Facilitate bi-annual performance reviews.
  • Be a key part of the department's growth by hiring and onboarding new team members
  • Collaborate in streamlining and improving existing processes, which will increase working efficiency and employee engagement
  • Monitor, reach and exceed monthly and quarterly targets and KPIsCollect and manage all reporting and KPI metrics of the team, and communicate with leadership to provide insight and recommendations on how to achieve goals. Report various statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.


Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree/equivalent in a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of proven, successful experience in managing a sales, business development or customer success team
  • Proven abilities consistently meeting team targets
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team and support individual strengths and professional development
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create an environment of trust
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong cognitive,analytical, strategic abilities
  • Self-motivated, result oriented professional
  • Technically savvy and adaptable in a constantly changing environment. Ability to quickly master new technology
  • Familiarity with the SEO marketplace and Google Analytics
