We are seeking a results-driven Account Executive for our Engine OEM Sales Team to manage an existing OEM customer and drive market share at customer, positive CX, and increased profitability. This role will serve as a key interface for the organization and act as a liaison, ensuring all requirements are met in a timely manner. This person will also be responsible for conducting regular status and strategy meetings with customer's management group to understand their needs and link to the organization's product/service strategies. An outstanding Account Executive will be someone whose customer-oriented approach and sales expertise will result in increased profitability. This role will oversee this OEM customer with the focus of maximizing opportunities, promoting new technology and fostering positive relationships while collaborating with the customer and is ideal for an experienced sales professional.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting & realizing effective strategic plans and annual operating plans for assigned OEM.
  • Implement market strategies, business and action plans that optimize market share and profitability. Responsible for coordination of these efforts for relating customers and entity locations.
  • Plan and manage all sales activities OEM related to Donaldson's Engine business and products, to optimize sales and profits.
  • Develop, recommend and implement pricing strategies in partnership with Global Pricing team.
  • Develop and maintain market share information and competitive data to be used in the development of market, product, strategic and annual plans.
  • Retain existing business through continued efforts to maintain maximum service, quality and on-time delivery.
  • Anticipate competitive pressure in time to allow redesign for cost reduction.
  • Seek and assist in screening of new business opportunities which may be profitably developed.
  • Make use of CRM to store and update appropriate sales data and hold team accountable to a high level of data Integrity.
  • Thorough market research, daily customer phone calls and emails, business travel to OEM customers when needed, and other prospecting activities, identify new opportunities within the identified OEM.
  • Act as a primary contact for assigned OEM, which includes traveling to customer locations to solidify relationships, attending industry trade shows, determining customer needs, and learning application and business requirements
  • Establish, cultivate and leverage customer relationships at production facilities and corporate level to grow the business
  • Lead sales presentations, annual pricing negotiations, business reviews and product proposals, and other communications designed to drive sales
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by completing quotes, reviewing business opportunities, and answering some technical questions
  • Work cross-functionally with Donaldson Engine product groups, engineering teams and operations teams to identify, develop and close new sales opportunities.
  • Penetrate assigned account by selling new or additional products to existing OEM and finding additional OEM locations.
  • Act as a customer advocate within internal organizations and cross-functional teams on pre- and post-sale matters including but not limited to our OEM group, engineering and manufacturing facilities
  • Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential accounts utilizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Up to 30% travel



Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service focused, including the ability to create an atmosphere that encourages an open dialogue about the internal and external customer's needs
  • Ability to maintain composure in addressing stressful and challenging situations
  • Ability to assess situations and assist in conflict resolution
  • Detail oriented, with excellent organization skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation abilities and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft CRM software, Microsoft office suite with an emphasis on Excel
  • Strong analytical abilities and report generating experience
  • Demonstrated ability to use good public relations skills including having a professional impact and being able to present to groups or individuals in a persuasive manner
