Logikcull has always been committed to leaving a positive impact on anyone who interacts with our organization. Since 2004, whether that’s our customers, employees, or our communities at large we have looked for ways to leave the communities we come across a little better than we found them. Here are some of the ways we do just that:
Half-Day Fridays - Working from home can blur the line between professional and personal. In order to ensure our employees are getting the downtime they need, we instituted Half-Day Fridays. All our unscheduled employees, which make up over 90% of our employee population, take half days on Fridays. After working in the mornings, they are free to start their weekend early and enjoy the downtime.
Flexible Working Schedules - At Logikcull most employees get to set their own schedules. We encourage and expect employees to find a working schedule that works for them and their lives. Employees are expected to keep their calendars up to date and make it clear which hours they plan to work so that they can still collaborate with others as needed, but as long as that’s the case, employees have the flexibility to work whenever and wherever they want.
Office Refresh - We recognize that working from home can make the environment around you feel old and tired fast. In order to combat this, we instituted an Office Refresh benefit. This benefit allows employees to expense up to $1000 each year to refresh their office space. We encourage employees to spend this on whatever will make their space feel new whether it be a plant, a piece of art, or maybe a new chair.
Enhanced New Baby Program - The transition to parenthood is an incredible albeit challenging time. So to support our employees in welcoming new children into the family, this year we introduced our Enhance New Baby Program. All parents receive 8 weeks of paid bonding time off. Birth parents get an additional minimum of 6 weeks of pregnancy leave. On top of the time off, our employees receive a $1000 allowance to spend on whatever it is they need for their new family member.
Kept Medical Costs Low - Since the beginning, Logikcull has understood the importance of its employee's health and well-being. So Logikcull has not only offered premium coverage, but also covered 99% of its employees and their dependents’ medical benefits.
Offsites & get-together budgets - While we all enjoy the flexibility of being able to work from home or wherever we choose, we miss each other. So this year we hosted our first Annual Company Offsite in Bend, Oregon. This was an optional off-site that all employees had the opportunity to attend so long as they were vaccinated against COVID-19. In addition to our first offsite, we also gave employees a $50 per person budget to get together with other employees nearby. We want to encourage our employees to foster their relationships with each other and continue to build our community in any way they can.
Fostered fun and collaboration via slack - Slack has become our water cooler. While many channels are used for business updates and communication, we place just as much of an emphasis on being active and participating in our “just for fun” channels. Many of these channels were created by employees to have a place to talk about shared interests. These channels include a variety of topics such as parenting, pet ownership, plants, gaming, or even true crime. We also have channels where employees can get creative, competitive, or just get to know each other. Our Bot-Buddies channel pairs two Logikbots together once a month to meet for coffee over Zoom and get to know each other. Each Friday in our 3-minute animal channel an employee picks an animal and adjective (e.g. cantankerous camel) and those who want to participate have 3 minutes to draw that animal and share their creations. Our #quarantine-got-me-like channel hosts a new employee-posed challenge each week. Topics for the challenge vary widely from sharing your favorite cover song to sharing stories about employees' most eventful vacations.
Recognition - Logikcull provides multiple ways for employees to receive recognition for a job well done! Any employee can give another “Logikprops” for going above and beyond. Each prop has a monetary value that employees can use to claim gift cards or other rewards.
