Where you shine

Account Executive Manages the day-to-day activities to creatively execute and produce client marketing programs. Serves as the client contact on assigned brands/projects, ensuring client approvals are secured, client objectives are achieved, and timelines and budgets are met. Communicates externally with the client and internally with the project team to keep all apprised of project status, updates and changes.
What your success will look like

  • Build rapport and credibility with client based on trust, sound counsel, responsiveness to client needs and flawless execution
  • Collaborate with creative, project management, production, and/or media teams to develop marketing programs and solutions for client
  • Serve as creative and executional project lead; guide the day-to-day development of client marketing projects from start to finish; secure required client approvals (e.g. creative briefs, budgets, creative materials, etc.); ensure progressive steps in the process are approved with adequate time to meet schedules
  • Develop and update both client and project documents including: creative briefs, estimates, project timelines, media plans, status reports, conference reports and other supporting materials
  • Review all documents and creative work prior to submitting to client for review
  • Keep agency team informed of client requests and changes; anticipate potential problems; proactively develop solutions
  • Organize client presentations, meetings and conference calls, and prepare relevant documents, including agendas, meeting materials and conference reports
  • Partner with project management to:
  • Ensure projects are fully scoped, forecasted and remain on schedule and within budget
  • Track budgets; notify manager of client requests that fall outside of scope; revise budgets as needed; alert client of financial implications and secure approval to proceed
  • Capture and interpret program results, summarize findings, and work with senior team members to recommend program enhancements and/or changes to improve going forward
  • Work with junior team members to identify opportunities to utilize vendor capabilities and make vendor recommendations to the account team
  • Adhere to agency process and financial policies; identify ways to improve processes

Who you are and what you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-4 years of advertising or marketing experience, preferably some experience in an agency setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of client's business, objectives, category and products, and a clear understanding of the key strategic issues impacting the client's business
  • Able to communicate clearly, thoroughly, succinctly and in a timely manner both verbally and in writing; follow up on outstanding issues; ask relevant questions
  • Able to build relationships and collaborate across teams, departments, vendors and clients to successfully accomplish work
  • Strong attention to detail and organization, demonstrated through actions such as:
  • Effectively proofing own and others work to ensure accuracy
  • Actively and effectively managing timelines, budgets and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to analyze results, interpret data, draw sound conclusions, and develop insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Proactive approach, demonstrated through actions such as:
  • Providing regular and thorough project updates to manager and team
  • Anticipating potential problems and obstacles to project success, communicating concerns and developing solutions
  • Keeping abreast of category trends and sharing information/learnings with team members
