Account Executive, TechDev SMB Sales - (Remote- West)

OVERVIEW:

The Account Executive, TechDev SMB Sales will drive top-line revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of our Tech & Dev Solutions line footprint within our existing SMB account base.

The successful Account Executive will have a track record of over-quota achievement and will grow an ambitious pipeline of business through outbound prospecting, creativity, and simple hard work. Sell our vast TechDev Solutions line directly to SMB customers and prospects.

This will require the ability to navigate through complex organizations and sell to multiple decision-makers.

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Responsible for selling and closing business for all types of products that Skillsoft offers, including Private Delivery, Open Enrollment, Subscriptions and Prepays
  • Achieving targeted new pipeline, sales activity and quota goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for assigned territory
  • Establish and grow a Global Knowledge and Skillsoft presence within a set list of accounts or region
  • Serve as the leader of the POD and work with members of the POD to create a strategic plan for growth within account base
  • Utilize provided tools within a recommended cadence to increase growth within accounts and the territory as whole. These include Sales Intel, LinkedIn, CRM, Spend Reports, Sales Plays, etc. 
  • Determine customer business drivers and objectives
  • Effectively use the CRM for pipeline development, activity management, opportunity management and forecasting
  • Execute the Solution Selling process with all product types
  • Execute high attention to detail when processing orders and payments for course/product enrollments
  • Establish personal relationship with key decision makers within account base
  • Determine budget requirements within accounts
  • Respond to activities and creating follow up tasks in a timely manner
  • Collaborating with other groups/departments
  • Creating an effective "hand off" system to Customer Success Manager to ensure that customers are onboarded and taken care of post-sale
  • Assisting with customer issues and requests as needed

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years successful sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of solution-based selling strongly preferred
  • Tenacious in building new business relationships while securing customer loyalty to becoming their Trusted Advisor
  • Adept at exceeding sales quotas and driving growth of company revenues
  • IT/Business Training industry and IT Cybersecurity, Cloud, Data Analytics selling knowledge/experiences preferred
  • Successful sales background that you can validate
