About the Position:

As a Partnerships Account Executive, you will have an opportunity to be a key strategic contributor while strengthening our relationship with many of our key partners, including US Foods. You will gain invaluable experience and have the chance to showcase your acquired knowledge. You will take ownership of relationships, revenue generation, develop new opportunities, and manage your pipeline. You will work within your assigned territories to build relationships with US Foods sales reps, sales managers, and operations consultants to help you establish and develop a strategy for identifying and closing new sales opportunities. You will travel to markets to present at US Foods sales meetings, attend trade shows, and do ride alongs with US Foods employees to meet with restaurants and close new accounts.

 

You will constantly be collaborating with your peers and manager to implement our Value Selling sales methodology and develop a strategy that allows you to create awareness with your prospects, demonstrating that you are a thought leader in the restaurant technology space, so you can help restaurateurs improve their business by using the ChowNow platform. This position requires the right combination of grit, curiosity, and the drive to help small business owners with their daily challenges. 

 

Reports to Inside Sales Manager, Partnerships; No Direct Reports.

Within 30 Days You’ll:

  • Progress through our Ramp Camp (ChowNow’s New Hire Orientation Experience).
  • Thoroughly know our customers, their needs, and how our product adds differentiated value.
  • Go through US Foods based training to ensure you have a solid foundation of knowledge of your territory and existing relationships.
  • Drive your own deals through a full-cycle, inside sales funnel from qualifying to close.
  • Confidently run in-product web demos for US Foods customers and employees
  • Begin to meet with US Foods sales reps.
  • Own and manage relationships, including the nurturing of passive leads.

Within 60 Days You’ll:

  • Have regular meetings with our internal US Foods team to strategize on the best approach to improving market penetration and getting in front of US Foods employees
  • Establish working relationships with the Partnership Restaurant Success team to ensure client success and reduce churn.
  • Begin to meet with US Foods sales managers.
  • Present at your first District Sales Meetings for US Foods.
  • Prioritize strategic opportunities and resources to maximize your own output.
  • Hit and exceed your quota numbers.
  • Understand the importance of reports and dashboards in Salesforce.com to evaluate your pipeline and key performance indicators.

Within 90 Days You’ll:

  • Do your first market visit and meet with US Foods employees in person while traveling to restaurants and closing business.
  • Shape, iterate, and scale our sales strategy, taking initiative to improve the team's practices, tools, and content.
  • Have dynamic new opportunities open up to you; choose to focus on new customer segments or new specializations in the sales group.
  • Contribute to the growth of the team.
  • Hit and exceed your quota numbers.

You Should Apply If:

  • You’re an experienced, hungry sales professional with 2+ years of experience, and a proven track record of winning deals in a short sales cycle.
  • You enjoy the entire sales process (prospecting, qualifying, positioning, closing, nurturing and supporting client onboarding).
  • You have experience working with high valued partners or other similar distribution channels.
  • You have a track record of consistent over-achievement in your current role.
  • You’re genuinely curious about people, local restaurants, and food trends. You enjoy building lasting relationships that enable you to build a book of business where referrals are the norm.
  • You practice as hard as you play. You’re a market expert, you know your competitors, you’re up to date on the latest trends, you’re coachable, and you’re willing to put in the time to master your craft to understand how your buyer makes decisions.
  • You thrive in fast-paced sales culture where changes are common and you adapt quickly.
  • You are a fast learner when it comes to processes and technology.
  • You are willing to travel 25% of the time into the market and meet with restaurants first hand. Experience with restaurants is a plus.
