Role Summary: The Sales Support Manager will work closely with the Client Strategy Director who leads our new business and expansion efforts. Key contributions include helping to define top prospects to pursue, supporting pitch meeting preparation, conference pre-planning, and client-focused follow up.
Who We’re Seeking: The successful candidate holds 2+ years of successful professional experience, preferably in sales support and related disciplines.
Reporting relationships: The Sales Support Manager reports to Client Strategy Director who leads our new business and expansion efforts.

 


What Success Looks Like in this Role:
Help grow and deliver our new business revenue goal by effectively managing the day-to-day activities associated with our new business strategy and execution. Being a self-starter and agile and nimble are key candidate traits. The role offers an exciting opportunity to actively contribute to building and shaping our long-term success.
Specific responsibilities include:

  • Help obtain, manage, and optimize key contact list for new business targets.
  • Ongoing out-reach and communication with potential targets by all available mediums (e-mail, phone, LinkedIn, website etc.).
  • Answer day-to-day questions, and new business outreach questions.
  • Ensure the new business tracker (CRM tool) is constantly updated.
  • Build, manage and maintain sales aids, presentations, and other new business materials.
  • Research new opportunities, companies, and key contacts, and key dates (e.g., Annual results).
  • Help develop an annual calendar of out-reach and manage communications.
  • Support Retailer & Supplier Conference pre-planning (6 Conferences a year). 
  • Help facilitate meetings, invites and planners internally & externally.
  • Support Client Strategy Directors and Managing Director for new business-related questions or requests.
  • Contribute positively to our culture by being a great teammate and demonstrating our values. 
  • Conduct market analysis to identify business development opportunities.

Location: This role is home-office based in the United States. 
Travel: Expectations include limited travel to:

  • Quarterly team meetings and presentations, as needed
  • Client presentations (rare, most are via videoconference)
  • Toronto global HQ (occasional)
  • Relevant conferences or industry events (rare)
