Job Description:

As a Sales Representative for 3M Abrasive Systems Division in Norway, you will be working with one of the strongest abrasive brands in the world being responsible of ensuring sales growth of our abrasive portfolio especially within our revolutionary and innovative brands like 3MTM CubitronTM 3 and 3MTM Scotch-briteTM. 

You will be part of a North European 3M ASD organization of 25 people of which 7 colleagues are located in the Nordic Countries. You will be reporting to the Nordic Sales Manager, who is located in Denmark.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Lead and develop you own territory and create your pipeline of opportunities through interactions with relevant B2B end users predominantly within the metal industry.
  • Develop and maintain market, industry and product knowledge.
  • Engage in and proactively support any national ASD (Abrasive Systems Division) marketing promotions or sales programs.
  • Create close working relationships with 3M channel partners and their sales organisations to built agreed call plans to relevant end users, as well as support on jointly agreed 3M promotional activities

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in industrial markets
  • Pro-active, results focused self-starter with a passion for sales and exceeding targets.
  • Organized with ability to work with others as well as alone to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication, questioning and listening skills
  • Good English – verbal and written

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include

  • IT literate - Proficient in use of IT tools, Excel, Word, Powerpoint. CRM
  • Knowledge in metal industry

Job specifics:

  • Location: Norway (preferably in the Møre & Romsdal county or Oslo area)
  • Field based
  • Travel: The role will require to spend majority of time on the field visiting customer (depending on successful candidate's location, may include about 5-7 overnights per month in average). For administrative activities, it will be Home based.
  • Working pattern (full time)

  • Utvikle og vedlikeholde kunnskap om marked, bransje og produkter.
  • Delta i og proaktivt støtte nasjonale markedsføringskampanjer eller salgsprogrammer fra ASD (Abrasive Systems Division).
  • Etablere tett samarbeid med 3M-kanalpartnere og deres salgsorganisasjoner for å bygge avtalte aktivitetsplaner mot relevante sluttbrukere, samt støtte felles avtalte 3M-promoteringer.

Dine ferdigheter og ekspertise 

Følgende kvalifikasjoner er nødvendig for å ha suksess i denne rollen. 3M ser derfor etter kandidater som oppfyller følgende minimumskrav:

  • Minimum 5 års B2B-salgserfaring innen industrielle markeder
  • Proaktiv, resultatorientert selvstarter med sterk interesse for salg og for å overgå mål
  • Strukturert, med evne til å arbeide både selvstendig og i team for å overholde frister
  • Gode kommunikasjons-, spørre- og lytteferdigheter
  • God engelskkunnskap – muntlig og skriftlig

Tilleggs kunnskap / ønskelige ferdigheter / foretrukne kvalifikasjoner som kan hjelpe deg å lykkes enda mer i denne rollen inkluderer:

  • IT-kyndig – dyktig i bruk av IT-verktøy, Excel, Word, PowerPoint og CRM/SF
  • Kunnskap om metallindustrien

Jobbspesifikasjoner:

  • Norge (helst i Møre og Romsdal fylke eller Oslo-området)
  • Feltbasert
  • Reising: Rollen krever at mesteparten av tiden tilbringes ute i felt hos kunder (Avhengig av den valgte kandidatens bosted kan stillingen innebære i gjennomsnitt ca. 5 / 7 overnattinger per måned). Administrativt arbeid utføres fra hjemmekontor.
