As the Sales Manager, Account Management you will collaborate with your team to help Account Managers master our product, sales process, forecast methodology and internal tools – to facilitate meetings with both customers and internal partners (Customer Success Managers, Renewals Managers, leadership at all levels including the executive team, etc.) and sell our platform to achieve goals. 

About the Team: Our Account Management team (SMB & Mid-Market) work closely with our existing customers and with our Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to ensure our customers achieve their primary business objectives. Our team manages expansion sales cycles from lead generation/opportunity creation to close, and partners with our Renewals Managers on single and multi-year contract renewals. 

Who you are: 

You are an experienced, Austin-based sales manager (3+ years people management) passionate about helping your team drive revenue growth, close sales opportunities, solve problems, work cross-functionally, and are skilled in creating strategies and tactics that drive revenue. A natural collaborator, you have a roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a willingness to support the team and business by modeling the behaviors you expect. You take extreme ownership of everything you’re responsible for and are driven to continuously improve while holding your team accountable for their own actions and performance.  

What you get to do every day: 

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Mid-Market & SMB sales expansion teams 
  • Work alongside your team and your leader to achieve and exceed sales expansion quota  
  • Meet weekly with your Account Managers to review their forecast, pipeline, individual opportunities, territories, and pathway to exceeding their quota 
  • Develop a consistent coaching and development plan designed to support Account Managers in exceeding quota  
  • Develop clear paths toward helping team members achieve their own career goals 
  • Collaborate across various internal teams to ensure the overall success of the program and annual team goal achievement. Including but, not limited to the following: 
       - Customer and Field Marketing 
       - Customer Success Managers and Directors for the MM and SMB Segments 
       - Renewals Managers 
       - Product Marketing 
       - Finance, Pricing, and Contracts 
  • Regularly meet with customers (onsite and virtual) to help Account Managers with sales growth, negotiations, product demos, new product overviews, support related questions, etc. 
  • Identify problems, and proactively create comprehensive plans of action to present to senior management to then own and execute with any necessary support 
  • Utilize various technologies (Ex: Gong, etc.) to help coach and develop your teams 
  • Deliver forecast to VP, Account Management on a weekly basis 
  • Deliver upon other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by senior management 

What you bring to the role: 

  • 5-7 years’ experience in B2B SaaS sales 
  • 3+ years’ experience managing an account management or customer sales team 
  • A people first, process oriented, data driven mindset 
  • Experience managing sales teams with complex, multi-threaded sales processes 
  • Experience in crisis intelligence and communications a plus  
  • Ability to influence others including senior level and C-suite staff 
  • Ability to travel to customer onsites and events, ~25% 
  • This is a hybrid office role based in Austin, TX
