Revenue & Billing Specialist - Cash Applications (Remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with management on projects as needed to clear aging items.
- Work on reports to provide management with information on inventory.
- Work assigned tasks to help resolve moving payments between areas to ensure proper location for posting of patient payments.
- Assist in working payers as needed.
- Answer emails and questions from specialist.
- Performs audit work at the productivity and quality standards as defined by team management.
- Offers suggestions to supervisor/manager to improve processes related to processing of files or how to obtain information when it is missing.
- Provides input on revisions to SOPs.
- Shares best practices with team members.
- Problem solves issue to determine the root cause.
- Help to train new hires
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2+ years prior medical/healthcare billing experience required
- Previous insurance/claims/EOB/cash posting/remittance work experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of LCBS system preferred
- Knowledgeable and proficient with Microsoft Excel preferred
Other preferred skills:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Candidate should be able to ascertain needs and deliver oral and written communication at an appropriate level of detail.
- Strong problem solving skills. Candidate should be able to assess the needs and create deliverables that address the situation.
- Knowledgeable and proficient with Microsoft Excel preferred
- Ability to manage time and tasks independently; Excellent multitasking abilities required
- Outstanding organizational skills; ability to function in a complex environment
- Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities

Pay Range: $15.50 - 19.00 p/hr (State minimum wages apply if higher)
Shift: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm Eastern Time
