Analyzes and maintains billing databases for Medicare and third-party carriers. Reviews the billing process and ensure that automated billing systems provide accurate data in compliance with guidelines. Reviews bulletins, summarize billing data, and notifies billing managers of accuracy of information. Makes ad hoc queries into billing system to locate potential billing rejections and system errors. Designs billing templates for information services. Receives batches of electronic claims, process claims, and sends to respective payers.
Revenue and Billing Specialist

Analyze and provide spreadsheets to sales when requested to resolve outstanding client AR issues. Sales also request help when client is in collections to determine the main issues that are causing the outstanding balances.

Request write offs for patient invoices that have been sent to collections or advise the reason patients are receiving invoices so that the sales rep. can get the patient issues resolved with either patient or client.

Review third party billing procedures, policies and results

Strong Excel skills
-
Assist in determining best options to reduce Bad Debt by reviewing key indicators

Assist in determining best options to improve Revenue by reviewing key indicators
-
Act as liaison between Division and Revenue Cycle Management

Provide spreadsheets and payer information to Sales to assist with collections billing information and updating clients on payer policies

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Able to discuss root cause analysis and provide possible resolution for issues
-
Analyzes client AR for delinquency
-
Discuss cause of delinquency with Sales and work through issues to resolve outstanding balances
-
Provide spreadsheets and analysis to sales reps. when requested review and request payments from client or make adjustments to their invoices if needed.
Qualifications:
-
High School diploma or equivalent required
-
Minimum 2+ years prior medical/healthcare billing experience required
-
Previous insurance/claims/EOB/cash posting/remittance and client collections work experience strongly preferred
-
Knowledge of LCBS system preferred

Proficient with Microsoft Excel preferred
Other preferred skills:

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Candidate should be able to ascertain needs and deliver oral and written communication at an appropriate level of detail.

Strong problem solving skills. Candidate should be able to assess the needs and create deliverables that address the situation.

Ability to manage time and tasks independently; Excellent multitasking abilities required

Outstanding organizational skills; ability to function in a complex environment

Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly

Hours 8am to 5pm EST
Pay Range: $15.50- $17.50 hr ("or State/Local minimum wage, if higher" )
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
