Job Summary

A Retention Sales Representative is responsible for saving and retaining customers who are requesting to disconnect or downgrade service. Every call is a sales opportunity that can lead to a great impression of the Optimum brand. The Specialist will be required to educate & offer products and services that would most benefit the customer. Great base + commission opportunity!
Responsibilities

  • This is a remote position with a consecutive six (6) week in-person training period commencing at time of hire at our Training Center located in the Bronx, NY. Currently, applicants must live within a 50-mile radius from the Bronx, NY designated Training Center.
  • Internet Speed - 200Mbps or faster with a direct connection to modem (Wi-Fi Prohibited)
  • Other Equipment/Utility capabilities- Workstation space and nearby electrical outlet/s able to accommodate computer (laptop) and 2 independent monitors (computer equipment/monitors will be provided)
  • Demonstrate product and service knowledge while utilizing high value selling skills to meet Optimum technology, product, and service sales retention targets, in a commission driven environment, by retaining customers who are at risk of terminating service or rewarding loyal customers, through explanation of the overall value, features and benefits of all products and services offered by Optimum, including communicating competitive offers to customers for comparison.
  • Utilizing tools and resources, as well as navigate the multi-product customer billing systems, to interpret and explain to the customer current and historical information contained within the system in response to any customer-related inquiries

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Call center experience required, previous technology and/or cellular sales or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, conflict resolution environment and have the necessary skills to consistently perform to Optimum standards.
  • Ideal candidates must be highly motivated and enjoy working in a challenging sales performance-measured, commission driven environment.
  • Must be able to exhibit written and oral communications skills to a standard as set by Optimum.
  • Computer skills using Windows based systems, including databases & billing systems required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $27,720.00 - $45,540.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
