Our Perth R&I group are seeking a Lawyer with between 2-5 years' experience to join their busy, high-performing and collaborative team. In this role you will primarily work for our Partner Cameron Belyea, who is engaged on major ongoing restructures and strategic advisory roles in Western Australia, for borrower/reference entities, financiers, noteholders, other credit originator or major stakeholders.
This role presents a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their practice and technical skills while learning from leading lawyers in Restructuring and Insolvency Law.
We're looking for a resilient, self-starter. Someone who is able to work autonomously and is focused on attention to detail and providing an outstanding service to their clients.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 2 years' post admission experience within a commercial litigation or restructuring and insolvency practice.
- Strong drafting experience with court documents, affidavits, briefs, observations and liquidation examinations would be highly preferable.
- A strong client service focus and work ethic.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to build client relationships and maintain a positive team environment.
The Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group
Clayton Utz's Restructuring and Insolvency team advises on all aspects of restructurings and insolvencies and has been retained in lead roles in many of the most significant R&I matters in Australia.
The co-operative and multi-skilled nature of our group enables us to provide advice not just on the full spectrum of insolvency and recovery issues, but also on pre-insolvency complex restructurings that preserve the long-term value of businesses for creditors and stakeholders.
