Engineering and Reliability Support Engineer (RAM Engineer)

The Reliability & Maintenance (RAM) Engineer will ensure the highest standards of reliability, maintainability, and operational availability for all systems and equipment involved in both the Pilot and Post-Pilot phases of the project. This role is critical in supporting the contractor and government teams in identifying, validating, and resolving any reliability and survivability issues to optimize system performance and ensure project success.

Minimum Qualifications:

- 15 years of experience in reliability engineering or a related field.


- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a preference for Industrial/System Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

- Experience with industrial manufacturing equipment and/or trades is highly beneficial.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Adaptable, with a proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Maximo or similar systems.

- Flexibility in response to shifting market forces and organizational priorities.

- Ability to navigate a matrixed reporting structure effectively.


- Provide engineering support focused on reliability, maintainability, and operational availability during both Pilot and Post-Pilot phases.

- Work collaboratively with both contractor and government teams to address and resolve reliability and survivability issues as they arise, including but not limited to Validation, Verification, and Resolution of Failure Modes.

- Support the Project Pilot event for 3 weeks, actively contributing to the Pilot report with insights and analysis derived from reliability engineering expertise.

- Develop reliability engineering designs and programs to achieve specified reliability objectives, supporting proposed changes in design.

- Support the creation of logistical documents related to satellite communication systems including Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Technical Manuals, and Logistics Demonstration Reports.

- Perform reliability and maintenance analysis of radio frequency and digital communications equipment.

- Analyze engineering-design concepts to recommend design or test methods for attaining or improving specified operational reliability.

- Conduct and coordinate failure investigations, implement solutions to improve reliability, and reduce downtime.

- Direct supervision and oversight of the preventative and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring alignment with operational requirements.

- Prepare technical reports to document equipment modifications and maintenance procedures.

- Establish effective preventive and predictive maintenance techniques, including the development of root cause analysis procedures.

- Lead reliability programs, oversee Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and support other Reliability Centered Maintenance efforts.

- Provide technical support for equipment overhauls and replacements as necessary.

- Additional duties as assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be a U.S citizen capable of obtaining a valid US DoD security clearance.
