The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, and selecting qualified candidates to fill organizational staffing needs. This role involves leveraging various sourcing channels, assessing applicant qualifications, and coordinating the interview process to ensure the successful placement of talent. The Recruiter collaborates closely with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements, maintains a strong candidate pipeline, and promotes the company's employer brand to attract top candidates. The ideal candidate exhibits excellent communication skills, sourcing expertise, and a keen ability to evaluate talent effectively to support the organization's growth and success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Planning and Strategy Development
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract and retain key talent, supporting organizational growth.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define staffing needs and determine the qualifications for each role.
  • Strategize methods to continually improve recruitment practices, processes, and candidate sourcing.

2. Job Posting and Sourcing
  • Utilize various recruitment channels-including job boards, social media, industry networks, company website, and external partners-to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
  • Post jobs using Workday or other applicant tracking systems.
  • Leverage existing networks and cultivate new connections to build a talent pipeline.
  • Engage external recruitment partners as needed to expand candidate sourcing.

3. Candidate Identification and Screening
  • Source candidates through a mix of traditional and non-traditional methods.
  • Review resumes, conduct initial phone screenings, and assess candidate fit.
  • Screen candidates for key qualifications and suitability via behavioral-based interview questions.
  • Potentially support pre-employment testing and assessments.

4. Interviewing and Selection
  • Coordinate and facilitate interviews, including on-site interviews, facility tours, and job previews.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to evaluate candidates' qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Conduct reference checks and background verifications to validate credentials and assess suitability.
  • Assist in the selection process and provide recommendations for hiring decisions.

5. Offer Extension and Onboarding
  • Extend job offers to chosen candidates and negotiate employment terms.
  • Lead new employee orientations, covering company policies, benefits, culture, and compliance.
  • Conduct background checks, educational verifications, and drug screens on selected candidates.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to enhance onboarding programs, particularly for manufacturing employees.

6. Post-Hire and Candidate Care
  • Maintain ongoing communication and candidate care for both external and internal applicants.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including reviewing benefits and company policies.

7. Recordkeeping and Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of recruitment activities and candidate information.
  • Ensure all hiring practices adhere to labor laws and company policies.
  • Keep employee personnel records confidential, accurate, and up-to-date.

8. Continuous Improvement and Other Duties
  • Identify opportunities to streamline recruitment processes for greater efficiency.
  • Support performance management tasks, including assisting with employee ratings, performance improvement plans, and training.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support organizational and HR objectives.

Education/Experience/Special Knowledge -
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management or related field; or equivalent experience. Technical recruiting experience required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience desired (in technical recruitment)

Physical Demands/Work Environment -
  • Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus
