This Traineeship is a good match for you if you know you like the work field of Business and IT, but not yet which exact role is perfect for you. Within these 18 months we offer you a chance to explore what we can offer in working in IT and what kind of future IT role suits you the best.
 

Examples of projects/tasks 
  • As a trainee you know how to find the required data and interpret it for the correct information. You know how to analyse it thoroughly and determine the best possible approach to make value out by creating functional designs and helping your IT engineers develop a robust and well-performing data solution. 

  • You act as a “linking pin” between different stakeholders of your team on Business-side, IT-side, as well as your own management. In doing so you will be responsible for managing multiple workstreams and projects to best utilize your team capacity and make sure everyone is on the same page. 

  • A specific task for a trainee could be supporting the analysis of market trends and preparing reports for senior management. This includes gathering data, conducting basic analyses, and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner. 

Your development as a Trainee 

From the start in April you will develop your talents during the first 18 months. During this period the training sessions are mainly on personal development and additionally professional development which are mostly given by experienced professional trainers. Given the emphasis on personal development within this role, we are seeking individuals who are committed to growing and learning continuously. 

With all the training sessions, you will have the opportunity to create the best version of yourself.  

You will build your network, gain valuable experience, develop soft, technical and leadership skills that will be useful in your career. We also challenge you with various situations and learnings on the job. Next to this you will receive professional and tailored guidance to help you to start at Rabobank. 
 

You & your future 

In just 18 months, as part of the Business & IT track, you will learn the fine points of Rabobank’s IT domain. You will have the opportunity to work at two to four different departments. 

The program is designed to give you a broad view of the IT organisation by offering rotations across departments. You can shape your own future! In addition to day-to-day work, trainees work on a side project and join Rabobank’s trainee network in a personal development journey. A buddy system provides you with help in finding your way around the bank and joining social events. You will also receive coaching from a talent manager. After completing the 18-month program, you’ll have a strong foundation to further develop yourself within our bank. It’s up to you to take initiative and pursue a permanent position, either at one of your rotation placements or elsewhere in the organization.

Join our dynamic team and expand your horizons through rotational opportunities. While your core responsibilities and skills remain consistent, you'll be challenged to apply them in new ways within different organisational contexts. Our learning objectives focus on agility, self-reflection, the importance of networking, but also complex stakeholdermanagement, balanced leadership and strategic thinking. During the rotations, you'll gain exposure to multiple business domains, moving to different teams and exploring new areas. This is your chance to grow both personally and professionally, making valuable connections along the way. 
 

You will learn as much as you can about several areas of Rabobank and use that knowledge within the IT domain where the paths cross each other to create value out of it for Rabobank, our customers and society as a whole. You contribute to create new or improve existing systems and processes.  
 

Practical details 
  • Period: 18-months Traineeship, consisting of 2 - 4 rotations. 

  • 36 hours per week 

  • After successfully finishing the traineeship you could be working with us for example as junior Business Manager, junior Business Analist, junior Product Manager etc.

You & your talent 
  • A bachelor or master degree, or an equivalent working/thinking level 

  • 0-2 years of work experience in an IT related field.

  • Affinity and/or experience in working in an IT environment 

  • Excellent proficiency in English 

  • Passion for teamwork, eagerness to speak up and share your thoughts, and willingness to embrace your mistakes and learn from them 

  • Growth mindset 

  • Complex Problem Solving, Stakeholdermanagement and Innovative skills
