Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

This role is contributing to the Motion High Power Business Division in Bangalore, India
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Working as an independent and reliable contributor in R&D projects with limited supervision.

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins. Automate build, release, deployment, and validation workflows. Also manage source control repositories, branching strategies, and pull request workflows

  • Work on Docker containerization and Kubernetes/AKS deployments

  • Support Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, VMSS, ACR, networking, and automation.

  • Integrate security and quality tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, Black Duck, and Dependency Track

  • Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, Groovy, or Shell scripting

  • Troubleshoot build/release failures and support production stability

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and platform teams for release coordination and DevOps enablement. Understanding and applying applicable processes, standards, guidelines, and requirements, including architectural and design constraints.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s / master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 4 to 7 years of experience in Simulations & Hardware in Loop simulations.

  • Solid expertise in DevOps toolchains, with hands-on experience in Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, Git version control, and YAML pipeline development.

  • Demonstrated expertise in DevOps management, specializing in building and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Azure Cloud Services Python / PowerShell / Shell scripting, CI/CD, Release Management, Build Automation

  • Experience in SonarQube, Fortify, Artifact Management with Linux and Windows administration knowledge.

  • Experience with SBOM, OSS compliance, and security scanning tools

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure Automation and VMSS

  • Experience working in enterprise DevOps environments

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with good communication and stakeholder coordination
