- Manages and directs the research and development programs to meet organizational needs in the area of metalworking, lubrication, quenchants, and other related products
- Maintains and reports on KPIs to the Director or VP of R&D. Assists in the identification of appropriate KPI for tracking efficiency and efficacy of R&D activities.
- Develops and implements R&D procedures and techniques
- Analyzes project results and provides recommendations based on findings
- Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures they are on time and within budget
- Keeps updated with projects across product lines and identify potential synergies
- Keeps updated with newest technologies and movements of industry as a whole
- Communicates with product line managers to prioritize project work
- Other duties as assigned by the Director or VP
- Participates in project work as required
- Complete all safety and application training and maintain and encourage a safe workplace
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience is scientific or engineering field preferred. Without experience, training/education is recommended.
- This role will typically have 15+ years experience, including education.
- Experience with instrumentation, MS Word products, SharePoint or database management software preferred.
