Role Overview:

We are seeking a data-driven, analytically rigorous, and insight-oriented professional to serve at the intersection of decision intelligence and executive leadership. This is a rare opportunity to shape how Quest Alliance uses data to drive strategy, track impact, and accelerate organizational effectiveness.

The Fellow, Decision Intelligence will lead the design and operation of data systems, dashboards, and analytical frameworks that power the CEO's decision-making and organizational strategy. This role combines business intelligence expertise, executive workflow design, and strategic communication to ensure that leadership is always working from clear, timely, and well-interpreted data.

The ideal candidate is a confident analyst and systems thinker who can translate complex data into actionable leadership insights, while also supporting structured communication, cross-functional coordination, and strategic follow-through.

Key Responsibilities
1. Decision Intelligence & Data Systems
  • Own the design and maintenance of leadership-facing dashboards that surface strategic metrics, program performance, and organizational health indicators.

  • Build and manage BI infrastructure using tools such as Google Looker Studio, Power BI, or equivalent platforms, integrated with data from Google Workspace, Notion, and program databases.

  • Create automated data pipelines and reporting workflows that reduce manual effort and ensure real-time visibility for the CEO and senior leadership.

  • Synthesize data from multiple sources (program outputs, finance, HR, communications) into coherent executive-ready reports and briefs.

  • Identify patterns, anomalies, and strategic signals in organizational data to support proactive decision-making.

2. Executive Office & Workflow Systems
  • Manage the CEO's priorities, calendar, and scheduling rhythm with precision and analytical rigor.

  • Design and maintain structured tracking systems in Notion and Google Workspace for commitments, follow-ups, and decision logs.

  • Build lightweight dashboards for priority tracking, meeting-to-action conversion, and weekly execution reviews.

  • Enable automation between productivity tools to maintain alignment and reduce coordination overhead.

  • Continuously audit and refine executive systems for efficiency and clarity.

3. Strategic Communication & Data Storytelling
  • Translate data insights and strategic analysis into compelling presentations, briefing notes, and decision documents for the CEO.

  • Use AI tools to enhance research, data analysis, formatting, and narrative construction for leadership communications.

  • Prepare data-backed materials for board reviews, partner meetings, and funder presentations.

  • Create visual narratives from program data that clearly communicate impact, progress, and strategic priorities.

  • Help leadership develop a culture of evidence-based decision-making through well-crafted, insight-driven communications.

4. Strategic & Operational Support
  • Track progress on key strategic initiatives using structured data frameworks and milestone reporting.

  • Support cross-functional follow-ups emerging from leadership meetings, ensuring data-informed accountability.

  • Maintain visibility on priority projects through dashboards and structured status reporting.

  • Serve as a coordination bridge between the CEO and internal teams, bringing analytical clarity to cross-functional discussions.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, decision support, or a founder's/CEO's office with a strong data function.

  • Proven ability to design and maintain BI dashboards and data reporting systems that inform leadership decisions.

  • Comfortable working at the intersection of data, strategy, and executive operations.

  • High discretion, maturity, and judgment when handling sensitive organizational information.

  • Strong capacity to manage ambiguity and translate complex data into clear, structured outputs.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Google Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.

  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel for data modeling, analysis, and visualization.

  • Experience building or maintaining structured data workflows using Google Workspace and Notion (or similar tools).

  • Ability to write and manage SQL queries or work with structured datasets for reporting purposes.

  • Proficiency in AI tools for productivity, data summarization, and content enhancement.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience creating data-led presentations and executive briefs.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, data sources, and timelines with precision.

Nice to Have
  • Exposure to strategy, consulting, or program analytics roles – especially in the development, education, or social impact sector.

  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation.

  • Familiarity with data literacy frameworks and building organizational capacity for evidence-based decision-making.

  • Interest in systems thinking, organizational effectiveness, and leadership intelligence.

  • Experience in education, youth development, or social impact sectors.
