Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Actively participate in all phases of the Agile development process, including planning, refinement, review, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure clear, testable acceptance criteria.
Communicate effectively with developers and cross-functional teams to maintain a shared understanding of product functionality, clinical/RX+ requirements, and challenges.
Test Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain test strategies and plans aligned with sprint goals and overall project objectives. Create detailed test cases and scripts based on user stories and acceptance criteria, executing manual and automated tests to ensure continuous integration and deployment readiness.
Quality Assurance and Control: Serve as a quality gatekeeper, ensuring deliverables meet required standards before deployment. Monitor software and data pipelines to identify malfunctions and assist in diagnosing issues.
Defect Management: Identify, log, and track defects and inconsistencies; collaborate with developers for timely resolution, providing actionable feedback on usability and functionality.
Develop and execute test plans for clinical data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and traceability of clinical/RX+ and operational data.
Automation and Tool Utilization: Implement and manage testing tools and frameworks to support efficient testing, reproducible results, and reporting. Contribute to continuous improvement of automated testing practices.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in retrospectives to suggest process enhancements. Stay up to date with testing tools, methodologies, and best practices in Agile testing, with a focus on pharma regulatory compliance (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) and latest CSA guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as a Test Analyst, Test Engineer or similar role
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies (black-box, white-box, regression, integration) and hands-on experience with automation tools
Experience in testing APIs, data pipelines, and ETL workflows.
Experience with performance and/or security testing
Individual to have hands-on experience in testing external facing consumer applications
Writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Proficiency in validating data integrity across databases. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Life Sciences / Pharma industry/Digital Health experience
Agile Champion: Adherence to DevOps principles and a proven track record with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery
Strong knowledge of testing processes and methods, and in using testing tools like ALM
Familiarity with programming languages and scripting
Knowledge of low code automation test tool
Certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE
