Flow Traders is looking for a motivated individual with a strong interest in technology and financial markets to join our APAC Trading Application Support team. The applicant must have an enterprising mind-set with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and demands. You will be working with highly skilled and motivated colleagues such as Traders, Developers, and System Engineers in order to achieve a common goal.
As a member of our Trading Application Support team, you will provide hands-on support to our traders in order to safeguard the performance and stability of our proprietary trading systems. Additionally, you will participate in projects, advise on structural improvements, and monitor trends within your area of expertise to capitalise on the opportunities afforded by new technologies.
What You Will Do
- Respond quickly to any technical issues affecting in-house trading applications
- Provide support for user-reported issues with Python tools, assisting traders or analysts directly
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate support tasks
- Utilise project- and change-management tools to maintain and configure trading infrastructure
- Monitor and document trading applications
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver solutions for trading and other business units
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a similar or relevant position, with front-office & financial markets experience preferred
- Working knowledge and keen interest in Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems
- Proficient in scripting languages, particularly Python.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and distributed streaming platform such as Kafka
- Excellent communication skills, with a service-oriented attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
