The Workday HCM Program Manager is responsible for managing the efficient delivery of People Systems enhancement requests and production support requests in partnership with the HRIT Support function. Responsibilities include successfully coordinating, monitoring, and controlling all deliverables of such requests within the People Systems portfolio. Requires collaboration with the People Product Team members and IT Scrum Master to ensure business needs are met and enhancement requests and bug fixes are implemented in an efficient and timely manner.
This role will also assist the Workday Security Administrator to approve and assign security roles to end users of Workday and Visier.
Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Act as the liaison between People Organization program leads, subject matter experts and People IT Solutions team to make sure system enhancement requirements are clear and properly documented.
  • Facilitate prioritization/ranking of enhancement requests and manage the Azure Dev Ops queue to ensure efficient processing and closure of requests.
  • Triage PeopleNow (ServiceNow for the People Organization) inquiry cases that are assigned to the People Strategy team, including analyzing, rerouting, and assigning to peers on team.
  • Proactively develop reports that provide accurate data and metrics to provide visibility into the status of the requests in the queue.
  • Act as an intermediate escalation point in the system enhancement processes.
  • Proactively monitor the system enhancement processes and help facilitate and generate action plans when the process stalls.
  • Question the status quo and find opportunities for continuous improvement to increase collaboration, efficiency and throughput of work items delivered by the project team.
  • Drive collaboration on a worldwide basis to adopt simple, industry standard and consistent business processes for managing and executing on system enhancement requests.
  • Ensure effective and comprehensive communication to all global stakeholders
  • Establish communication channels for functional community networking
  • Partner with the Security Administrator to review, approve and assign system and data access requests for Workday and Visier.


Position Qualifications

  • Strong communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with impact, credibility, and influence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent customer focus, able to assess customer needs, build relationships and manage customer expectations.
  • Proactive - Be proactive in setting expectations and managing deadlines. Excellent and follow-up and follow-through skills; acts with a sense of urgency.
  • Interpersonal - Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals both in the People organization and in the IT organization.
  • Analytical Skills - Strong ability to use data and analytics to monitor trends and identify areas of process improvement.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of Project and management experience, PMP certification highly desirable.
  • HR domain experience required.
  • Experience working with Workday required.
  • Experience with case management systems including Azure Dev Ops and SeviceNow.
  • Reporting and analysis experience required.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Workday Security Administrator experience desirable.
