CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Wireless Project Manager.

Type: Contract

Job Title: Wireless Project Manager

Location: Remote

Pay Rate: up to $45/hr. Dependent on experience

A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as

  • BSEE or equivalent with a focus on wireless networks or telecommunications
  • Very good technical background, preferably in the fields of telecommunications or engineering
  • Proven working experience in project management in the wireless telecommunications sector
  • Working experience in LTE or UMTS wireless networks



The Wireless PMO team is responsible for Program Management and Project Management activities for Wireless In-Building solutions such as the SpiderCloud ERAN, ONE DAS and Mobile Access Legacy DAS product lines. The Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of deployment projects of Wireless networks in carrier and enterprise sites throughout the United States.

This includes working with Field Engineers, Solution Engineers, Support Engineers, third-party system integrators, major wireless carriers, and customer enterprise IT departments

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects. Accountable for execution within the defined project constraints
  • Facilitate the definition of project goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects
  • Coordinate internal resources and Telco Operators/third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects; involve all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop detailed project plans/methods to monitor and track progress
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes while successfully managing the relationship with the clients and all other stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Monitor and report on budgeted project expenditures
  • Provide weekly reports on activities and project status to the Manager of Wireless Customer



Basic Qualifications:

Education

  • BSEE or equivalent with a focus on wireless networks or telecommunications


Required Skills

  • Very good technical background, preferably in the fields of telecommunications or engineering
  • Proven working experience in project management in the wireless telecommunications sector
  • Working experience in LTE or UMTS wireless networks
  • Fiber Optic Splice knowledge, experience a plus practical cabling standards
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in wireless networks and PoE+ LANs.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Quick learner with excellent written & verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail, multi-task, and cope with deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Procore and Box
  • Experience with field deployments, technology acceptance processes, and support services
  • Must be a strong problem solver, self-motivated, organized, and analytical
  • Passionate about improving our customers' experience and relationship
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with Sr. Management and business critical customers
  • Must be able to work from a remote/home office location to manage a team of remote engineers spread across the U.S.
  • Ideally this is related to management of in-building RAN networks, but extensive small-cell and/or DAS may be suitable
  • PMP certification is a plus
