Chase and JP Morgan Wealth Management Data & Analytics:
The Chase and JP Morgan Wealth Management Data & Analytics Team unifies data and analytics talent across Chase and JP Morgan Wealth Management to responsibly leverage data to build competitive advantages for our businesses with value and protection for customers. The team encompasses a variety of Data & Analytics disciplines, from data governance and data strategy/partnerships to reporting, data science and machine learning, and are actively engaged in ensuring impact at the front-line and the customer through Sales and Marketing transformation. We have a strong partnership with our dedicated Technology partners, who provide us with our cutting-edge data and analytics infrastructure. Job Summary
We are looking for a leader who is passionate about using data to accelerate product development, drive business growth, and improve the Chase customer experience. CCB Chief Data Office (CDO) is currently seeking a VP level candidate to lead multiple complex records management programs / projects. The individual will be part of a team responsible for coordinating with the CCB Sub-Lines of Business, Product Groups, Technology, Legal, and other functional partners to implement Firmwide Data Risk Management policies and standards within the CCB organization relevant to data retention and destruction. The person filling this position will need to be able to partner and work across multiple cross-functional areas, including Technology, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Controls, Centralized Records Management Program and the Firmwide Data Management office. The person will need to understand key business initiatives in CCB Products and to integrate data retention and destruction activities accordingly.
The successful candidate should have proven ability to provide innovative ways to solving problems and assess data risk across multiple data stores (e.g. applications, shared drives, sharepoint) to see the bigger picture, and hands on experience with the planning and execution of multi-year programs / projects. The candidate will also possess strong leadership skills to ensure proper identification and execution of governance oversight and control functions.
The individual should be able to garner respect by treating people fairly, allowing opposing views to be heard, escalating issues as appropriate, and must have the subject matter expertise to drive planning, issue resolution, and execution. The ability to distill complex ideas and concepts into digestible and understandable components is also critical to this position. Relationship and influencing skills are very important in this position as many of the resources required to plan and execute projects cross organizationally will be matrixed. The successful candidate will have experience with managing a team of 3 - 5 direct reports.
Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of multi-year program deliverables related to specific records management workstreams (i.e., applications records management (ARM), shared drive, know your records (KYR)
  • Partner with Product Groups and records Champions to drive an understanding of the business records, underlying data and its use within the business, and to ensure records management controls and compliance considerations are integrated into application lifecycle stages (plan, build, operate, and decommission)
  • Manage the execution of tasks to comply with Firmwide policies, standards, and procedures related to data retention and destruction requirements, and in-line with Central Records Management Program expectations
  • Develop standardize repeatable approaches to remediating records management compliance challenges and define ongoing sustainable processes
  • Deliver control approaches for the management of federated and centralized records management data stores. Partner with stakeholders and Controls Management to ensure appropriate control environment and manage/advise on escalated issues
  • Support the rollout and maturity of the records management governance processes and Chief Data Office (CDO) oversight across CCB
  • Develop subject matter expertise in JPMC specific records management practices (firmwide retention requirements, firmwide tools, CCB record types)
  • Provide solutions to problems encountered within the practice of large-scale records management program requirements related to current and emerging technologies
  • Develop metrics, reporting and executive-level presentation materials that include key messages, control and operational effectiveness, and overall status
  • Assess and monitor records management risks and key risk indicators
  • Develop relationships with product partners, including leaders in the Business, Technology, Analytics, Operations, Risk and Control functions, and solicit input to achieve long-term strategic solutions for business partners
  • Maintain strong network with key stakeholders including CCB Lines of Business, Technology, Firmwide Records Management Program and Compliance
  • Serve as a key point of escalation and liaise with business partners to resolve issues where required
  • Manage direct or matrixed staff to execute specific data-related tasks. Establish performance objectives for the team, conduct quarterly check-ins and annual reviews. Address resource issues/concerns in a timely manner.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in a data-related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Records Management, including an understanding of legal obligations and regulatory requirements, data lifecycle, and industry best-practices
  • 5+ years of Program / Project Management experience
  • 5+ years of managing a team of 3 - 5 direct reports
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines
  • Subject matter expertise in business or product data or processes
  • Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage delivery timelines, and ensure our product and organization is on track to meet our goals
  • Proven ability to execute via internal partnerships
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences
  • Structured thinker with good business acumen
  • Understanding of Agile technological development methodology.
  • Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced skills with standard PM tools (e.g. MS Project, JIRA, Kanban)
  • Familiarity with process-mapping tools (e.g. MS Visio, etc.)
  • Familiarity with data wrangling and dashboard tools (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau)
  • Bachelor's degree required, and Master's degree preferred. CCB Data and Analytics.
