The Operations team at Upside is a diverse group of team-oriented individuals who are committed to our mission of helping communities thrive. What you'll do:

As a Technical Project Manager on the Merchant Operations team, you'll drive merchant success by: 

  • Analyzing and developing data requirements, policies, and standards for upcoming projects
  • Assigning and overseeing the weekly tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all teammates are actively working toward launch milestones
  • Holding regular technical team meetings to share progress and drive projects forward
  • Defining clear deliverables and responsibilities for teammates
  • Leading pre-launch meetings with external partners, defining scope and phasing for the project, and working cross-functionally to launch data ingestion pipelines
  • Setting expectations and service level agreements with external customers and internal account managers
  • Managing and maintaining a ticketing process that ensures a simple view into the status of all upcoming customer launches

What you need:

  • 4+ years of software project management experience, preferably in a startup environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern project management processes and agile software development
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising the work of teams
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
  • Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles

The fine print:

  • This role is a hybrid role and required to work from our Austin or DC office 2 days/week. Full Covid-19 vaccination is required to work from our Upside offices.
