Coupa is looking for a technical, customer service-driven, and all-around professional individual to fill the role of Technical Project Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing the coordination and direction of multiple IT Projects. This includes maintaining consistent relationships, executing detailed project plans and schedules with the highest quality, solution integration, and implementation with support from the workforce while being delivered on time and on budget. The Technical Project Manager will also support M&A integration projects from an IT perspective, including operational due diligence, integration planning, and execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams to deliver strategic projects and technical solutions, primarily related to software development, infrastructure, and application product development.
  • Manage moderately to highly complex projects according to schedule and budget.
  • Assist team by translating business requirements into technical specifications, creating technical documentation from this translation.
  • Lead and execute efficient and effective team meetings, often with executive-level leadership. Provide documentation of meeting outcomes to participants.
  • Monitor project activities through the entire project lifecycle; evaluate the progress of the project(s) on a regular basis.
  • Cultivate relationships and effectively communicate with both internal stakeholders.
  • Play a key role in the design, testing, and implementation of new products and features.
  • Identify and implement new processes with project teams as needed; ensure teams are following said processes
  • Monitor projects and tasks to communicate with the business and set expectations.
  • Verbal and written communication with business stakeholders including client kick-off, ongoing meetings, documentation, and follow-up when necessary.
  • Responsible for all aspects of project management from inception to delivery, focusing on project planning, scoping, scheduling, executing, and quality assurance.
  • Responsible for leading project meetings, preparing reports, maintaining schedules and cost plans, managing project risk, and all other aspects of the project implementation, including project budgets.
  • Work with IT Workforce leader to develop and maintain KPIs for project deliverables.
  • Define the scope of the project, roles, and responsibilities along with various stakeholders.
  • Maintain the Technology M&A playbook and guide the transaction team to follow the technology playbook process, drive alignment between technology and acquisition business case, ensure technology responsibilities are staffed, and manage exceptions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience with technical project management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills. 
  • Experience with engaging stakeholders to capture and prioritize business needs.
  • Strong oral and written communications with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Master collaborator with the ability to influence, motivate and generate goodwill with teammates. 
  • Project management certification a plus but not required.
  • Merger and Acquisitions project management experience is a plus.
