Location: Temporarily remote - Johns Hopkins @ Browadway, 550 North Broadway, Baltimore, MD 21287

Shift: Full Time (40 hours), Day Shift; 8:00am - 5:00pm

Position Summary:

The Technical Project Administrator is responsible for benchmarking application data as well as multiple projects/implementations that support operational and clinical needs. Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Johns Hopkins Health System benchmarking systems using applications, databases, and other toolsets utilized by the affiliates of Johns Hopkins Medicine. Consult JHM members on how to effectively use these toolsets upon installation/implementation. Assist in the development of training curriculums for end users of these toolsets as well as coordinate their integration into operations. Oversee the maintenance and necessary upgrades of these solutions post installation. The Technical Project Administrator ensures that all new applications and projects meet scope, timeline, budget, compliance and quality requirements. Effectively manage assigned human resources of the JHHS Quality / Clinical Analytics department.

The Technical Project Administrator functions as JHM Central Coordinator for the Vizient Operational Data Base (ODB). Monitors and maintains the data integrity and data mappings to Vizient ODB. Coordinates routine audits of department characteristic surveys in conjunctions with local Vizient ODB Coordinators. The Technical Project Administrator maintains Johns Hopkins Hospital Vizient ODB submission and runs routine benchmarking reports. Works with JHM leaders to identify areas for performance initiatives.

Education:

BS/BA degree in Information Technology, Health Information Management, Business Management/Accounting/Economics or related field required.

Work Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare industry experience to include Project Management, Clinical Analytics, Performance Improvement, Hospital Operations and Academic medical center information technology landscapes

Licensure/Certification:

EPIC Clarity Certified or must achieve certification within first year of employment
PMP preferred
MS Project is strongly preferred

Knowledge:
Demonstrated understanding GBR (Global Budget Revenue), inpatient Charge per Case (CPC), outpatient Charge per Visit (CPC), operational and clinical benchmarking methodologies. Knowledge of medical coding system for ICD9, ICD10, CPT, HCPCS

Skills:
Proficiency with Action OI, Vizient CDB, and Microsoft applications; including but not limited to Excel, Project, Word, Power Point, Microsoft Project, is strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and able to work well under pressure
Excellent interpersonal skills (Communication, Conflict Resolution, Negotiation, etc.) when dealing with internal and/or external audiences at all levels of management
