Technical Program Manager
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Responsible for project development and tracking.
- Interfacing with engineers associated with business growth plan.
- Oversee and direct program and project initiatives
- Develop proposal responses, project estimates and prepare status reports
- Work with GBS Senior Management and Division Managers on strategic initiatives and identification of growth opportunities
- Perform duties outside of specialty to complete work assignment
- Assist Junior engineers with technical issues concerning assigned systems, software and hardware
- Perform technical review of engineering design and software changes recommended by other engineers
- Mentor Junior engineers to assist with system modifications and upgrades
- Provide management with feedback concerning engineering and design changes proposed
Qualifications
Candidates for this positionmustpossess the following professional experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 5 to 8 years technical experience as a system, electrical, computer or mechanical engineer
- 2 to 5 years' experience in management capacity to include project management and management of personnel.
- Relevant management experience to include financial management, financial tracking, fiscal oversite, and decision making, and day to day management of personnel.
- Experience in Jira and Confluence a plus
- 2 years LABVIEW, MATLAB, or SIMULINK a plus
- 2 years software development or cyber security a plus
- Six Sigma or Scrum certifications a plus
Physical and Mental Requirements :
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
