Job Title: Technical Program Manager

As a Technical Program Manager, you will work with the Solutions team to drive the successful implementation, launch, and scaling of Helix’s population genomics and COVID-19 testing partners, which include leading health systems, life sciences companies, payers, and governments across the country. From defining and managing technical work plans, to creatively solving problems, you will play a critical role in helping our partners (and Helix) drive clinical and research value through large-scale genomics and help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. You’ll work closely with many teams at Helix – including Product, Engineering, Clinical, Quality, and Legal – to do this. 

As a Technical Program Manager at Helix you will:

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Helix’s partners for both our population genomics and COVID-19 businesses
  • Oversee the technical aspects of implementation, launch, and scaling of Helix’s health systems, life sciences, and COVID-19 partners, including integration  
  • Work with the BD team as part of the pre-sales process to understand technical needs and nuances of potential partners
  • Understand partners’ technical infrastructure and process to identify areas for improvement and expansion to support partners through launch and beyond
  • Define, communicate, and proactively manage technical work plans for internal and external stakeholders
  • Help develop a programmatic approach to partner integrations to help rapidly scale the number of partners we are able to onboard and support
  • Investigate technical needs and help solve technical issues for our partners
  • Work closely with the Partner Success, Product, and Engineering teams to provide input on the longer-term vision for the partnership – helping to identify opportunities for new products and services that could help the relationship grow and make them a lifelong Helix partner
  • Gather insights and feedback from partners to inform the product roadmap in collaboration with the Product and Engineering teams

Qualifications

  • 4 – 6 years of experience managing technical projects in the healthcare industry,including integration experience with EHRs (Epic experience preferred). Good understanding of how the various EPIC modules function and interact with each other. 
  • Experience working with engineering teams in an agile software development environment at a rapidly growing company
  • Team player able to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across a broad range of functions and levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams at leading health systems
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and key dynamics
  • Knowledge of / experience in genomics
