About the job

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish - working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us - and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.

Google Search reaches billions of users globally and is the core of our business. By joining the Search team you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on users across the world, many of which are coming online for the first time.

We currently have positions available with our Search teams focused on building new features, enhancing the Assistant's abilities and quality, and expanding our infrastructure to support continued growth. These teams focus on creating a fully integrated, comprehensive Search experience that understands and anticipates users' needs while ensuring we have the necessary infrastructure to support development goals.

Google is and always will be an engineering company. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to take on some of technology's greatest challenges and make an impact on millions, if not billions, of users. At Google, engineers not only revolutionize search, they routinely work on massive scalability and storage solutions, large-scale applications and entirely new platforms for developers around the world. From Google Ads to Chrome, Android to YouTube, Social to Local, Google engineers are changing the world one technological achievement after another.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Search features on multiple platforms (e.g., Android, iOS, Web, Assistant).
  • Manage programs from inception through completion while leveraging your influencing and software development skills.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders in an ever-changing environment to establish roadmaps and timelines, anticipate and manage risks, and resolve technical or operational challenges along the way.
  • Exercise technical and product judgment to scope projects, identify dependencies, manage multi-quarter road maps and timelines, and define and implement processes to accelerate and scale feature development - all without sacrificing quality.
